They answered all questions and make sure that all is going to be ok and that it's the right home. We were lucky enough to adopt Max who has settled in with our other dog and cat. I know if i had any problems I could contact them for help. I highly recommend these guys if you were in need of any help.

I really feel that being homed with foster careers instead of kennels has helped his transition, they gave him so much love and kindness he now just takes even his stride.    joanne rhodes 26th march 2022 We adopted our bulldog, Winston, from CliveGlen Dog Rescue in December 2021. The whole process went really smoothly from our online application through to welcoming Winston into his forever home. Communication with us was great and kept us informed on things we needed to know. We visited Winston in his foster home alongside his lovely foster family and instantly fell in love with him! Clive and Glenis were friendly and helpful and it is obvious how much they genuinely care for the dogs they rehome. Winston has completed our family and we would recommend CliveGlen Rescue to everyone.

Very recently went through the adoption process which is very thorough and have now welcomed Sandy into our lives. She is absolutely adorable and we love her to bits . Today she has been zooming round our garden with Dexter and has already claimed her chair i wouldn't have it any other way . Once again thank you all.   Eileen & mark badger 6th march 2022 We met up with Glen & Clive to meet Narla (now Lola) and the professionism and care shown for the dogs which need re homing is 2nd to none. Lola is the most adorable loving "bubbling and sparkling" puppy, who has immediately settled in to her forever home. She has found her voice woofing at the birds in our garden and has lots of new toys. Lola loves her walks and settles quickly if we have to pop out. Thank you Glen, Clive and Terry, she is a very special puppy.

 pat& dave southall 20th jan2022   It is now just over three weeks since we adopted a pair of bonded dogs from Cliveglen Small Dog Rescue. Tina, a Yorkie and Benji a Yorkie cross have both settled in wonderfully and have already brought us much joy. The adoption process was very thorough but also very smooth, thoughtful, caring and considerate with the dogs' interests and wellbeing always being the main consideration of the brilliant husband and wife team Clive and Glenis. Whilst in the rescue, Tina was spayed and Benji was neutered and both dogs received dental treatment, health clearance by the vet plus clipping and grooming. They were also microchipped which Cliveglen transferred to us with no charge. The first meeting with Tina and Benji was at Terry's, their foster carer, with Clive and Glenis also present and we all got on like a house on fire. The transfer date was arranged and a week later Cive and Glenis brought Tina and Benji to our house along with bag loads of dog food, chews and treats, also providing leads and harnesses. We cannot praise Clive and Glenis highly enough for the wonderful work that they have done over the years and still continue to do in rescuing, saving, caring for and rehoming so many dogs. jenny middleton thur 22nd july I lost my forever friend Poppy recently and been a widow living on my own I was desperate for a new companion. My daughter found this organisation and filled in the form for me the next day I received a phone call and the same day they came to my house with a new companion darcy . This is a wonderful organisation and all the people are lovely friendly and helpful the dogs they rescue are kept in people’s homes not kennels and they make sure they are placing dogs with the right person . hazel brookbank 2nd april  We applied to adopt a small dog (Milo) from the rescue. After our initial checks and the visits to see him we were approved to adopt. It’s already been 4 weeks since we have adopted him and these past 4 weeks have been the best four weeks. He has settled in really well and he is really well behaved. I would highly recommend this rescue as the transition from the foster home goes very smoothly and the owners of the rescue are very helpful.

matthew  marmckean  22nd jan  Unfortunately due to uncontrollable circumstances we had to look to rehome our little patterjack Daisy. We tried Dogs Trust and got nowhere with them, they where really unhelpful. At that point we found this organisation and after the first 5 mins talking on the phone I had a really good feeling from them. They found her a foster home really quick  and picked her up the next day. It was a traumatic day but through out we where constantly asked if we where sure we where making the right decision. We got several updates with pictures seeing who she was with and how she was adapting right through till the fosterer decided to adopt her. We couldn't recommend this place enough.

  Iris Lloyd 15 feb 2021     We have just adopted Gracie a Black and Tan Cavalier King Charles. She is a beautiful little dog and she gets on well with our other two dogs. She has been spayed today so she is very tired but I'm sure tomorrow she'll be more lively. The couple who run the small dog rescue are kind and have been very helpful to us and Gracie. Thank you.

It makes a massive difference to the dogs welfare that you put them into foster homes, the transition to a permanent home is so smooth. Mr Darcie settled almost instantly into his home with my nan. He has is favourite blanket which he cuddles up in on the sofa with my nan and is always falling asleep and snoring away for hours whilst wrapped up in it! (you can see said blanket in photos). He also loves running around the garden and sniffing all the plants.

Anyone who comes to see him has said how lovely he is, and he instantly jumps on their lap and loves attention. He has taken to my mom, my cousin and myself really well and if we don't stroke him as much as he wants he licks our hand haha. Of course, his favourite person is my nan and follows her everywhere and sleeps next to her at night in bed!  

He has also made friends with my shih Tzu, Blossom, who is half in one of the photos also and he follows her around the house and garden when we take her to visit.

Mr Darcie is a credit to your charity and you did such an amazing job rehabilitating him and teaching him how to lead a normal Chihuahua life, and we hope to make sure the rest of his life is long and happy!

I just wanted to let you both know that Stanley is still going strong, I adopted Stanley back in 2013, you had just moved as I recall, Stanley was approximately 3 and a half, he's now coming up to 9 years old and is as fit as a fiddle, walking around 4 miles a day every day, he has taken over my life from the day I got him, helping through cancer in 2017 all clear now thankfully, I can't tell you how much I love this little boy, it was love at 1st sight, you both made it possible, I am be so grateful to you both for allowing me to adopt Stanley, may you both continue with your important work, giving us humans the chance to have a the friend for life. Stanley sends his love too.

Can I just say a massive thank you to Clive and Glenis for letting me give Marley his forever home. I’ve always had rescue dogs and learnt of the small dog rescue through one of my friends. His brother is a foster carer for small dog rescue. After two of my dogs passing away one fairly recently and one nearly two years ago. I knew I needed a new companion for my remaining dog. After browsing the dogs on the website that needed rehoming, (for quite some time may I add). One little face jumped out at me and made me fill in an adoption form. I picked up Buddy just over a week ago now and am eternally greatful to Glen & Clive, for the tireless work they must put into their rescues and of course all the foster homes that they use, and now I have the most delightful friend that anyone would be proud to own, and I'm sure we will have lots of adventures around the North of England in our campervan, we can't wait to get going. lots of love Buddy & Derek

A massive thank you to the whole team. What can we say? Milo is absolutely beautiful, has obviously been well looked after by Dave. He's already settling in, sleeping on the bed!! He is a real character. I would highly recommend this rescue centre, will definitely use again. Thank you once again for our little treasure.

Thank you to small dog rescue for picking me and my family to be the new parents to Dandy- an amazingly cute, cuddly full of fun Cavapoo. One week on and we can’t imagine our lives without him. He has settled in so well and as I’m writing this he, and our other cavapoo girl are curled up together like an old married couple! What a truly amazing job all the people at small dog rescue do in opening their hearts and homes to dogs who haven’t had the love and kindness they deserve. We can’t thank you enough for enriching our lives xx

We can’t thank you enough for placing dear Ben with us. He is the sweetest, most loving little dog and we love him right back. We’ve only had him for a week, but he already feels like part of the family and he has enhanced our lives beyond our wildest dreams. It must have been very hard for his last owners to part with him but Clive and Glenis went out of their way to make sure they found the perfect home for him. From start to finish, Ben’s welfare was their top priority. We are in complete admiration of you both and thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Adopted Bobby from rescue, he's a beautiful boy no trouble settled in straight away. Cliveglen small dog rescue is a great place,run by volunteers who have a genuine love of dogs. No kennels all dogs in volunteer foster homes. Can't praise rescue enough.

When we realised we had to give up our girl puppy our main concern was that she went to people who knew how to look after her. Sheila's description of their rigorous vetting procedures immediately reassured us that we were doing the right thing in entrusting our dog to their care. We found them to be non judgmental, caring, selfless and dedicated. Our little dog has now been re-homed and our grateful thanks goes to Sheila and all the team of volunteers who provide this excellent service. Keep up the good work and best wishes for the future.

since I spoke to smalldogrescue I feel so much at ease with myself shelia has so much dedication in what she does, so much patience and care for the fur babies, i had star my little terrier mix, and clive bought her to me what another lovely caring man, top marks kind regards sandra and star
